I love Sherwin-Williams paint. This is the only paint we use. I love the paint colors, and the paint wears. Awesome product. I would change my wall color every year if my husband would let me ! I love picking new colors.
Thank you for sharing, Tracie! There’s always something to paint.
WOW! I love this blog. Such a great source for project inspiration and advice. I can’t wait to upload some of my own projects.
Thank you, Wes!
Please show me soft aqua or turquoise for a windowless bathroom.
Hi Susan, There are some really lovely options that would work. Take a look at:
Dewy SW 6469
Tidewater SW 6477
Waterscape SW 6470
Please show me your recommendation for dining room walls (wood trim and crown molding is glossy white )There is a built in corner cabinet, hutch and mantel in navy blue. The kitchen is next to this room with an accent kitchen island painted in copen blue.
I would love to keep with blue somewhere in the dining room on walls and need to keep the navy blue wood corner cabinet, hutch and mantel. Thank you so much

I am needing guidance on either painting OR staining (2) 6ft with 5 shelves bookcases that will go on each side of entertainment center that is in the farmhouse style which is painted the farmhouse white which has the distressed look. The walls in the room are a light gray with white trim. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
Hello there, your best bet would be to paint and then distress the shelves to achieve a look similar to your entertainment center. Having the bookcases and center piece all the same color and finish will make those three items look like a large built in piece of furniture. Another benefit of duplicating color and finish is that you will now have a built in focal point bringing light into the room.
We are building a lake house that sits in the woods. It will have black windows. We plan to paint the exterior Mega Greige and the trim Urbane Bronze. Will these colors work well together? If so, what color should we paint the garage doors?
Hello Bobbi, that sounds like a great color combination for your exterior! In addition to Mega Greige SW 7031, you may want to also consider using Intellectual Gray SW 7045 for the main body color.
I’m beginning a renovation of the entire first floor level of a small New England house build in 1910. The rooms are small and I’m eliminating one wall to bring in more light from the hall to the living room. Because of the small size of the rooms, I’m looking for colors that will help make the areas appear as expansive as possible. The floors throughout are pine. I’ve picked a warm white for the kitchen cabinets, a light grey tile for the backsplash, and the chimney will be exposed. I have a lot of grey and dark blue pottery that I’m using for accent on floor to ceiling shelving in one area. Any ideas for kitchen wall colors?
