Our Favorite Delicate Tints of 2024

Whites and tints are a timeless color family with endless adaptability. With just a hint of color, these soft and airy tones craft fresh spaces of serene yet elevated style. Layering crisp, clean whites with warm, soulful tints creates depth and sophisticated richness. We’re sharing five of our favorites from A Study in Delicate Tints palette in our 2024 Colormix® Forecast to help you find the perfect shades for your project.

Featured Colors: Drift of Mist SW 9166, Light French Gray SW 0055, Silver Strand SW 7057, Snowbound SW 7004, Jogging Path SW 7638

Snowbound

Open your space to the brightness of a clean, refreshing white backdrop. Snowbound has the expansive influence of a cool, crisp white, but with its slight gray undertone, it coordinates perfectly with other gray-influenced tones.

Light French Gray

Looking for understated elegance? Light French Gray, a hue with beautifully balanced warm and cool tones, offers effortless versatility and a sense of timeless sophistication that complements a wide range of looks.

Drift of Mist

Drift of Mist is a soft, adaptable gray color tone – an ideal neutral that doesn’t rely on natural light for its airy influence. The gentle note of inviting warmth in this hue feels just right in any space.

Silver Strand

A misty, green-gray tint that feels lighter than air, Silver Strand washes your space in serene stillness. Embrace this tranquil, calming shade to bring an open and bright feel to your interior.

Jogging Path

Bring a dose of the outside in with a gorgeous, muted gray. Jogging Path’s light neutral, putty shade washes spaces in warmth and tranquility. Its subtle green undertone infuses a refined earthiness.

  1. How much is your Gorgeous white wall paint in flat per gallon?

  2. Our brick ranch is painted Light French Gray. What color white would be good for the trim and what black shade for the shutters? We were thinking of trying a different color for the front door and would like suggestions or if you thing sticking with black would be more cohesive. Also, what sheen is best for the brick, trim and door?

  3. Hello, I am looking for a light greige, taupe or even off-white color for a living room with oak trim and bamboo floors with yellow/brown/orange tint. We would like to tone down the wood if possible. The windows face south and west. Would White Sesame work? I was also looking at Taupe of the Morning and Winter Walk, but really not sure about the undertones. Thank you!

Hello Anya, White Sesame SW 9586 or Taupe of the Morning SW 9590 would both work in your space. Taupe of the Morning is a little darker so it would work in a southern exposure if you want just a hint of more color. Winter Walk SW 9626 reads as a gray in most lighting and would not be the best complement for your flooring. You can order free sample chips of all these colors from our site to determine which one you prefer.

  4. Great base colors for field walls instead of using “white” painted walls.

  5. Hi, my walls are painted Taupe of the Morning with trim and ceilings painted Pure white. What color would you suggest other than Pure White for my kitchen cabinets?
